Originally used in boat sails, Kurashiki Canvas is woven on century-old shuttle looms accentuating the natural cotton fibers nep texture and durability. This version features a combination Japanese Binchotan charcoal and sulfide dye, giving the fabric a deep color that will continue to transform with wear. Binchotan is a type of Japanese charcoal made from white oak tree branches, typically used in Japanese cooking. The shirt comes sewn on vintage machinery and features reinforced double needle construction throughout.
