For the low, low price of $1.25, shipping included.

Paper Caper dresses were a surprise hit. Nearly half a million orders.

Other companies took note and the fad became a (brief) pop sensation.

Andy Warhol even got in on the trend, with a dress featuring his iconic soup can art.
