Samurai’sHeavyweightT-shirts are crafted using a thick 14 gauge yarn, and sewn with the same level of expertise as the brand’s denim. Woven on vintage circular knit machines using raw cotton slub yarns,the shirts sport a supple softness and substantial weight.
Citing ukiyo-e and Japan’s Edo Period (1603-1867), this shirt features Musashi Miyamoto famed Japanese swordsman, philosopher, strategist, and writer. In this ukiyo-e, Musashi is depicted in the mountains of BIzen as a “Yamabushi” or mountain hermit dedicated to rigorous martial arts training. Cut in Samurai’s new OVS fit, which increases the chest size and length for the overseas market.
