Football was different.

Im not sure when the audible was invented, but I dont think they were screaming things like Omaha, Green 80, Tupac, or Blue 42 in 1924. The spread offense was not the norm.

Fields didnt have hash marks. Goal posts (there were 2 at the time due to the H shape) were at the goal line, only to be moved to the back of the end zone in 1927, then moved up again to the goal line in 1933, then back again you get the gist.

Things change. Evolve. Sometimes for the worse (Tampa Bays uniforms), sometimes for the better (instant replay). This is an example of the latter.
