The Fustian Way

A fustian is not a who. Its a what. They are fabrics whose characteristics include strength, warmth, fine-quality cotton, and the gumption to be hard-wearing. Some are ribbed (corduroy), others smooth and soft (moleskin).

English and French countrymen have worn moleskin for centuries, doing the things that men domelting steel, guarding country, building homes and barns, taking an insouciant stroll or two, telling good-natured lies. Man stuff.
